Pacific Tribute

Next in the series of travel nostalgia, and in honor of my upcoming trip to the West Coast, here's a few from our Pacific Northwestern adventures a couple summers ago.

Week End in Italy

Returning from Iceland has brought a wave of travel nostalgia + memories of other adventures... As I revisited images from the past few years, I thought I'd post a few collections of them here so they won't sit idly in my old image libraries.

We spent a magical, poetic weekend in Italy two Springs ago on the occasion of our friends Dave + Nancy's wedding. Jacob created the most delightful audio postcard of the dreamy days in Orvieto (for more of the voice of the poet you hear there, visit his podcast) and while I didn't take many photos, these are a few that take me back...

Love Rue More

Iceland

I'm just back from a full six days of shooting and exploring in Iceland. Aside from an editorial piece (which I can't wait to share when it's published), I mostly shot film, but here are a few images snapped in passing and out of moving car windows to tide us over til contact sheets return from the lab.

Kyle + Emily: Part II

I'm always delighted to discover again how careful attention to detail can create what then seems like an effortlessly warm atmosphere. The perfectly pretty decor (designed mostly by the mother of the bride!) turned the Avon Old Farms hotel into an elegant and inviting haven from the winter chill. The perfect place to celebrate -- and the medley of love songs performed by Kyle's family was the icing on the cake! (I wish I had audio of it to post!) Emily and Kyle, it was a joy documenting all the love in the air that night! Thanks!

Kyle + Emily: Part I

Kyle + Emily's wedding fell on the sunniest of winter days... and even the icy winds didn't keep us from documenting it! It was a perfect wedding day, full of love, beautifully planned, and thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks for inviting me to come along!

Welcome, Esme!

I loved meeting little Esme, a quiet new presence at Nora, Joseph, and Augie's place -- with her little expressions, changing like clouds in a breezy sky, and that sweet crop of hair... she makes a lucky brother of Augie! Thanks Nora & Joe for welcoming me to photograph your life with them!
