Cindy and Nathan knew they were going to be returning from a medical mission trip just ten days before their June 27th wedding, but there was never any question of having the wedding any later, or on any other date -- June 27th is both of their parents' anniversary! There couldn't have been a more delightful spirit about the day as family and friends joined in the informal celebration outside Cindy's parents' (and their neighbors') home. Thank you so much for inviting me to document it!

Meg + Robb = Wed ('The Story' debut)
It's hard to know what to say about Meghan & Robb's backyard wedding. Everything was beautiful, and almost all hand-made by friends (from the hors d'ouvres, to the atmospheric lighting, even down to the beer!) -- which no doubt had a part to play in making this the fullest and most joyful celebration in recent memory.
Jacob and I just loved being a part of it (I had the pleasure of putting together Meghan's bouquet -- and as you'll see, being practically family, we took a little break and did some dancin'). We are very happy to present the inaugural edition of "The Story" audio photo document... enjoy!
ps the opening music is an original song by Robb's groomsman & one-time roommate, Lucas!

Josh & Stina: the wedding
There was more than enough love to go around on Josh & Stina's wedding day. Friends baked pies, arranged flowers, and set tables with the wine goblets Josh had spent the last few months hand-crafting and the napkins Stina sewed in a myriad of lovely prints... to name just a few of the handmade heartfelt details of the day. The whole celebration left a lingering glow in all our hearts. Thanks Stina & Josh for inviting me to be a part of it all!

Nick & Kara are married!
If I had to pick one element to sum up Nick & Kara's splendid wedding, it would be the purple paper flowers the bride hand crafted by the dozens to accent tables, and lapels. That creative spirit and love of expression characterized every minute of the day, from the hand painted aisle runner, to the choice of the Elmhurst Art Museum for their cocktail party reception! Take a peek at all the loveliness of these two...
