It's been awfully quiet here the last ten days. "Silence radio," as they say in French. But let me tell you, in the real-life EJA studio, things have been anything but quiet, between jewelry look-books, apartment design features, my very first maternity and newborn sessions, wrapping up the exhilarating last few months of gorgeous weddings I've gotten to shoot, and, the biggie, prepping for our big East African adventure, I've barely had a moment to think about anything beyond my daily race against the clock.
But we're off now (about to land at Heathrow as I hen peck this post out on my iphone, and I suspect Jacob and I will both be doing quite a bit of thinking in the next three weeks. We've been asked to document in images and audio, an exciting program of World Relief called Savings for Life. We'll be posting our initial sketches in photos and writing over at The Audio Photo Document (as internet connections allow). We'd love to hear what you think! You can also follow us on Twitter (EJAphoto and JacobDAnderson. If you don't already have an account, what better time to see what the Twitter hype is all about?!)
I'm off to peek out my little window at the English countryside far below before I miss my chance! Do stop in over the next few weeks for more jswank designs work and a glimpse of the sweetest newborn you'll ever lay eyes on...
Ps. For those of you who enjoy home design, word has it our place was featured on Apartment Therapy yesterday...

Anthony here from AT: Unplggd. I just wanted to say I absolutely LOVED your photos featured on AT. I was wondering what kind of equipment you use and how to achieve that lovely blur effect seen in many of your photos? It was done so well I couldn't tell if it was post-processing or if it's via some awesome hardware!! =)
I love, love, love the photos of your home!
If it's okay with you, I linked to it and posted photos on my blog: http://sunnysblog.typepad.com/mornings_light/2009/09/a-beautiful-chicago-home.html
Because of your idea to decide what represented yourself and paring it down to a couple of words, I will be doing the same.
Thanks both of you! Anthony, I shot with a 50 mm 1.4, no tilt shift. It was my favorite lens til I got a 50mm 1.2!
