Lundi Apres-Midi: Ceramics

As the summer winds to a close and we move into fall weddings, I thought we could all use a fresh batch of singular gift ideas (and a reappearance of the long-dormant Lundi Apres-midi posts!).

I have a great love for pale ceramics, and ever since one of this summer's newlyweds sent us this most incredible bowl from Heath Ceramics, we've taken such great joy in having such a beautifully crafted object in our home that I can't resist wanting to share my favorite designs (and designers) with you!

What are your favorite wedding gifts?

from right to left: Oiseaux de la France by Sarah Redor at Ashes & Milk, Sarah Cihat Bowl at Rose and Radish, Basket Bowl by Perch Design, Pebble Bowls by Jesper K. Thompsen at the MoMA store, Whale Pitcher by Jonathan Adler, Oval platform, style # 5018 by Montes Doggett, Ego cup & saucer by Iittala, Extra-large Gurgling Cod at Giftware by Wade, and Shallow Salad bowl in Peridot/Linen at Heath Ceramics.

i came across this post at the perfect time! i've been poking around for gifts for a city wedding in 2 weeks. I'm almost settled on a gorgeous vintage green carafe and a faux bois tray to set it on but I'm trying to make sure it all gets here in time without being crazy expensive- these are lovely alternative ideas!!

Sounds like a lovely idea, Elle!
